Its the Heart that matters
Its about the heart. Pat is right on about making it about the heart and not behavior modification but he still uses language like "consecration". The best transformation of the heart occurs when our hearts get a fresh infusion of the revelation of Jesus and His love. Let your heart be filled today with His love.

Are you a Barnabas, a Paul, or Timothy?
60 plus men assembled this morning for the second in the series of Men's Huddles calling men to fulfill the Great Commission - making disciples of Jesus. Joe White from Men at the Cross reminded us that we are each a "tupas" or type of Jesus that others are looking for. No matter who we are or what we've been Jesus will and can use us to help another man come to know and follow Christ. The "types" or examples we see in the Bible that illustrated this process are Barnabas, Paul, and Timothy. It was Barnabas who introduced the "converted" Paul to the rest of the church in Jerusalem (Acts 9:27). Then Paul went on to help a young man named Timothy (Acts 16:1) to become a great leader in the church as well. What man did Timothy connect with? We don't know but no doubt he "passed the baton" to someone else to continue the chain of making disciples. Where are you in the chain, the story, the commission? Who is your Barnabas and who is your Timothy? Mark your calendar, New Hope Pauls, for the next Huddle, April 7th, 6:30am. Bring your stories of how God is using you in helping the Timothys out there.
