Do I really know the facts about where I stand with God? Colossians 1:22, 23 The Fact: I am faultless before God. Can we get our heads around that? Will we stand in that truth? If we are at all concerned that we are not "making it" then we do not understand this truth. And if we continue to sin that means that we do not understand what it means as well. If we have no more fault with God then there is no more shame that we are imperfect or not living up to His expectation. Shame is what drives sin. We sin because we are looking to fill the void that shame produces in our souls. But, if there is no more shame then what is the point of sin? If we really stand in this truth then our lives will reflect the freedom and peace that this fact produces.
